Hi! I'm Karmen!
Hey there! Thanks a bunch for dropping by!
I'm Karmen, mom to two lively kiddos who inspired this journey. What started as selling their clothes evolved into a passion for preloved fashion.
By day, I'm a Clinical Nurse Educator, deeply invested in the human side of healthcare. I'm also a student at the University of Edinburgh taking a Masters of Science in Advanced Nursing; focusing on Perinatal Mental Health. The human side.
My obsession with preloved began over two years ago, sparked by the troubling realities of fast fashion. It's the human stories that drive me—the mothers behind sewing machines, the children affected by pesticides, the communities impacted by textile pollution. The human side.
We're taking a stand against Fast Fashion for...
-
The
Women behind sewing machines with their newborns either at their feet, or hundreds of miles away while they make pennies.
-
Human
Children born with defects because of the pesticides used in the genetically modified cotton farming industry.
-
Side
Communities losing their only drinking water; poisoned blue dye from denim factories that line it.

We're not just selling clothes.
Every textile deserves a home and a lifecycle beyond landfill. That's the heart of our mission—embracing slow fashion and circularity.

Most Green 2023
We were the first recipient of The Little List of Noteable Shops' "Most Green 2023" award.
Families across the country nominated preloved shops that they thought met the criteria for each category the best. They then voted for the winner; and for the category of "Most Green", they chose For You & Yours!
"Recognizes a preloved shop who minimizes their environmental impact, possibly even has a positive impact on the environment."

Remake
As a Remake Ambassador, I proudly champion the cause of sustainable fashion, spearheading a movement that reshapes the way we perceive and consume clothing. At the heart of Remake, Ambassadors like myself form a dynamic and impassioned collective, driving discussions within our communities about the people behind our clothes and the environmental footprint of the fashion industry.
